Maria Teresa “Tere” Luevano, 55, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 12, 2012 at her residence in Edinburg. She was born March 17, 1957 in Rio Bravo, Mexico to Catarino Carrasco and Margarita Casarez Carrasco.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Pablo Luevano and sister-in-law; Maria Del Refugio “Cuca” Carrasco.
She is survived by her son; Domingo (Aglaee) Luevano, daughters; Edna Karino (Angel) Luevano-Urbano and Erica Cristine Luevano, brothers; Rafael Carrasco and Hilario “Lalo” (Maria Felicitas) Carrasco, sisters; Maria de los Angeles (Mario) De La Torre and Criselda (Juan) Barrios, grandchildren; Dominique Luevano, Dana Luevano, Domingo Luevano III, Dante Luevano and Edrika Katalyna Urbano, numerous nieces and nephews.
Maria was a strong, determined and happy woman. She enjoyed going to church and being involved. She loved to sing, cook, tend to her plants and cats, but her greatest love was spending time with her family.
The Luevano family received friends Monday, October 15, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. A chapel service was held Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian burial followed to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr, TX. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers; Domingo Luevano, Jr., David Luevano, Angel Urbano, Pedro Luevano, Alfredo Carrasco, Mario Israel De La Torre. Honorary pallbearers were; Hilario “Lalo” Carrasco and Domingo Luevano, III. Funeral services were entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
