Soledad “Chole” Ochoa, 88, entered eternal rest on Monday, October 7, 2013 at her residence in Faysville. She was born on June 4, 1925 in San Manuel, Texas to Celestino Rodriguez and Rosario Guzman. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eduardo Ochoa; son-in-law, Epifanio Reyes and brother-in-law, Arturo Gonzalez.
Left to cherish her memories are her children; Arnold (Orfie) Ochoa, Estella Reyes and Yolanda (Abel) Salaiz; brother, Alberto Rodriguez; sister, Martina Gonzalez; grandchildren, Carlos (Alberta) Reyes, Criselda (Humberto) Maldonado, Erica (Carlos) Garcia, Jessica (Michael) Aguilar, Orlando (Brenda) Ochoa, Amanda (Will) Randles, Anthony Salaiz and Alexandra Salaiz, 15 – great grandchildren, 2 – great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church and lived most of her life in Faysville. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She touched the lives of many people and will never be forgotten.
The family received friends on Tuesday, October 08, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Faysville. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Carlos Reyes, Orlando Ochoa, Carlos Garcia, Beto Maldonado, Michael Aguilar and Eloy Villarreal. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
