Maria Del Refugio "Cuca" Pardo, 86, entered eternal rest on Friday, April 8, 2016 at her residence in Edinburg. She was born on Tuesday, July 2, 1929 in Gto., Mexico to Ramon Arreguin and Herminia Ruiz Arreguin. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Eusebio Pardo, brother; Alfredo and Antonio Arreguin.
Left to cherish her memories are her children; Santiago (Mari) Pardo, Felipe de Jesus (Alcinda) Pardo, Trinidad (Ana L. ) Pardo, Juan Lorenzo (Vianey) Pardo, Teresa (Don) Robinson and Maria de Lourdes (Enrique Porfirio, Jr.) Molina, brothers; Ruben Arreguin, Sam Arreguin, Ramon Arreguin, Raul Arreguin and Nicolas Arreguin, sisters; Maria Elena Vera and Estella Jojola, 13 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Cuca enjoyed taking care of her plants and animals. She also enjoyed to read, pray and cook for her family. She was a volunteer of the Juvenile Court Conference from 1990-1993, a faithful member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos where she was involved in the Curillistas organization since 1992, Legion de Maria and prayer group. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will truly be missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos. Catholic burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be her grandsons; Brian Robinson, Jacob Robinson, Alejandro Pardo, Andres Pardo, Gabriel Pardo and Emmanuelle Pardo. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
