Nora Olida Munguia, 57, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen. She was born on August 28, 1957 to Ambrosio Gonzalez and Olida Caballero Gonzalez in Harlingen, TX. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Lazaro Munguia, Jr.; parents, and brother, Juan Gonzalez.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Kimberly Munguia; brothers, Roy Gonzalez, Andres Gonzalez, Samuel Gonzalez, Ricardo Gonzalez and Rene Gonzalez; sisters, Diana Araceli Smith, Magda Cynthia Cruz and Adelina Spear; grandchildren, Jaylynn Martinez and Aubriee Castillo, numerous nieces, nephews, Cruz and Munguia family.
Nora lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a member of Jesucristo Sanador, Revivals, Inc. She worked at Hidalgo County Headstart branches #1, #2, and #4 for 20 years, and also worked at Melissa’s Day Care in Edinburg and Little Voices Day Care in Edinburg. She loved singing, playing the saxophone, and doing activities for the Church. She always enjoyed interacting with people and will be remembered for her great sense of humor.
Her Family will receive friends today, Friday, February 20, 2015 from 4:00pm – 9:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn in Edinburg. Christian services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
