Ofelia G. Rocha, 87, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at her daughter's residence in North Royalton, Ohio. She was born on Saturday, October 6, 1928 in Alamo, Texas to Zacarias Garza and Natividad Moreno Garza. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Manuel Garza and Freddy Garza, sisters; Herminia Costilla and Lucilla Flores.
Ofelia is survived by her husband of 52 years; Pablo Rocha, son; Tito (Cheryl) Rocha, daughter; Hope (Albert) Benavides, grandchildren; Johnny Castaneda, Regina Cataneda and Allyson Rocha, great grandchildren; Misty Castaneda, Johnathan Castaneda, Hanah Castaneda, Rebekah Ontiveros, Sally Ontiveros and Sally Ontiveros, great great grandchildren; Liam McCall, Felicity McCall, Neveah McCall and Levi McCall, numerous nieces and nephews.
Ofelia worked as a Nutritional Instructor for the WIC Program in Tyler, Texas for over 15 years. She enjoyed cooking and visiting her family, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched.
Her family received friends on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be held today, Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to Val Verde Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Donna, Texas. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Daniel Ontiveros, Johnathan Castaneda, Martin Arteaga, Jr., Arnoldo Arteaga, Eddie Garza and Sammy Garza. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
