Oralia, known to everyone as Lala was born to Eugenio and Daria Pena in Delmita, Texas on April 30, 1930. She was one of seven children and the last surviving sibling of a very close, loving family. Her younger years were spent in the Edinburg area. After she married and began to raise her family, she moved to Houston raising her three children there. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to the moon and back, whether they wanted it or not. Her focus in life was to feed them and to talk to them; at any hour of the day or night hearing about everything going on in their lives. She loved being outside working on her yard and tending to her garden of plants and flowers. She loved the aroma of her flowers blooming each year. She had the greenest thumb ever and could grow anything from just a twig to a blooming flower or thriving plant. She loved staying up late at night talking on the phone with family members catching up on the latest happenings. Her faith in God was very strong and she prayed daily for her loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Severo Narvaez; her parents, Eugenio and Daria F. Pena; her brothers, Santos Pena, Jesus Pena, and Eugenio Pena, Jr.; her sisters, Arcadia P. Nino, Petra Pena, and Celia P. Vale.
Oralia is survived by her three children, Jose Luis (Diana), Severo Jr., and Vini (Bill) West, seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and many other loving family members whom she loved dearly.
