Pedro Villarreal, 84, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg, Texas. He was born on a Saturday, May 13, 1939 to Rafael Villarreal and Antonia Garcia Villarreal. He is preceded in death by his parents, children; Norma Linda Villarreal and Pedro Villarreal, Jr, brothers; Roy Villarreal, Ubaldo Villarreal and Juan Villarreal, sisters; Maria Castillo and Olivia Villarreal.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Rafaela G. Villarreal, sons; Jose Luis (Marcy) Villarreal and Jose Angel (Sandra) Villarreal, daughter; Nora Lee Villarreal, grandchildren; Aldo Villarreal, James Villarreal, Matthew Andres Villarreal and Miguel Angel Villarreal, 2 great grandchildren; Norma Salas and Axel Severino Villarreal as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pedro will be remembered as a man who loved life. He enjoyed gardening, dancing, fishing and bbqs. Pedro loved swimming at South Padre Island but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
The Villarreal family will receive friends on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg, Texas. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg, Texas. Catholic burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
