Porfiria is preceded in death by her parents; husband; Bacilio Villanueva, sons; Joel VIllanueva, Bacilio Villanueva, Jr., Ruben VIllanueva, brother; Guadalupe Reyes, and sister; Jesusita Almaguer.
She is survived by her sons; Francisco Villanueva, Dr. Ray Villanueva, daughters; Lydia (Roy) Alaniz, Sara (Emilio) Ramos, daughters-in-law; Mary Villanueva, Sandra Villanueva, Rosie Villanueva, 17- grandchildren, 47- great grandchildren, 7- great-great granchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation services for Porfiria were held Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 2:00- 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg and from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m, at El Buen Pastor Methodist Church in Edinburg with a prayer service held at 7:00 p.m. Christian services were held Monday, February 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at El Buen Pastor Methodist Church in Edinburg. Christian burial followed to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg, Texas Funeral services were entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
