Rafaela Villarreal

Rafaela Villarreal, 83, entered eternal rest on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at her residence in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on Sunday, April 13, 1941 in Mercedes, Texas to Luis Gonzalez and Guadalupe Veliz Gonzalez. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Pedro Villarreal, daughter; Norma Linda Villarreal and son; Pedro Villarreal, Jr.

She is survived by her children, sons; Jose Luis Villarreal and Jose Angel (Sandra) Villarreal and daughter; Nora Lee Villarreal, 4 grandchildren; Aldo Villarreal, James Villarreal, Matthew Andres Villarreal and Miguel Angel Villarreal, 3 great grandchildren; Norma Salas, Axel Severino Villarreal and Jeremiah Pete Villarreal.

Rafaela loved to cook and dance but she especially loved doing it for her family. She loved to spend time and be around her loving family. She especially loved dancing but polkas were her favorite. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched.

The Villarreal family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. With a burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Jose Angel Villarreal, Aldo Villarreal, James Villarreal, Ricardo Martinez, Berry White Rodriguez and Norma Salas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
