Ricardo Rene Calvillo

Ricardo “Rick” Rene Calvillo, 61, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at his residence in Hidalgo, TX. He was born April 19, 1952 in Edinburg, Texas to Victor Calvillo and Maria Anita Guzman Calvillo.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister; Cynthia Nelda Mcfarland.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years; Janie Calvillo, son; Michael R. (Rosa) Calvillo, daughter; Cherlotte M. (Juan Valdez) Calvillo, grandchildren; Ulianna R. Calvillo, Marc A. Calvillo, Arron R. Calvillo, Victoria A. Valdez, numerous nieces and nephews.
He worked for the City of Edinburg and City of McAllen in the Water Plant Department for many years. He loved to watch the Spurs and spend time with his family. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
The Calvillo Family will receive friends today, Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. A Christian Mass will be held Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services were entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
