Richard Ervin Clark

Richard “Dickie” Ervin Clark, 79, entered eternal rest on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Edinburg Nursing and Rehabiliation Center in Edinburg, Texas. He was born on a Friday, November 6, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Ervin Christopher Clark and Ruby Pratt Clark. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother; Robert Clark and brother in law; Lawrence Kelly.
Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 32 years; Mary Lou Vela Clark, daughter; Ruby Marie Clark, sister; Jean Kelly and sister-in-law; Lourdes Clark.
Richard affectionately known as “Dickie” lived in Edinburg most of his life and was a Navy Veteran who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He worked in sales but his biggest joy in life was spending quality time with his family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
Catholic Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg Texas with a Catholic burial following at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery, 2520 South Inspiration Road, Mission, Texas. Military honors will be under the auspices of V.F.W. Post #7473 of Elsa, Texas. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Roberto Vela, Jose Juan Vela, Fernando Vela, Daniel Tanguma, Armando Celedon, Jr. and Raul Segovia. Honorary pallbearer will be: Israel Fernando Vela. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and Staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
