Roberto Lozano, Jr., 47, entered eternal rest on Friday, October 6, 2023 at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas. He was born on a Sunday, September 26, 1976 to Roberto Lozano, Sr. and Lydia Elizondo. He is preceded in death by his father.
Roberto is survived by his mother; Lydia Elizondo, step father; Rogelio Elizondo, Sr., brothers; Esteban (Sylvia) Lozano, Pablo Alejandro (Dr. Veronica Sandoval) Lozano, Rogelio (Wendy) Elizondo, Jr. and sister; Analicia (Rita) Elizondo as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Roberto or “Big Punn” as he was affectionately known to his family and friends. Robert was known to be a firm yet noble man who was loving, giving, firm, trustworthy and always had a big heart. He loved to BBQ with his “Texas Heat” team. Enjoyed sports such as wrestling and watching the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bulls. He was a collector of various different items as well.
The Lozano family will receive friends on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1302 East Champion in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Frank Lozano, Raul Lozano, Jr., Esteban Lozano, Jr., Aaron Lozano, Nicolas Lozano, Phillip Saenz, Jose Guadalupe Lozano and A.J. Lozano. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
