Roberto Velasquez, 32, entered eternal rest on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. He was born on May 24, 1982 in Sandusky, Michigan to Francisco Velasquez, Jr. and Sylvia Estella Cano Velasquez.
He is survived by his parents; Brothers, Israel (Marisa) Velasquez and Roel (Maribel) Velasquez; sisters, Dianna (Catarino) Sanchez, Dalia (Jeff) Buss and Gabriela (Sergio) Davila, 17 – nieces and nephews and 1 – great niece.
Roberto was a jack of all traits who enjoyed working on cars and plumbing. He loved to spend his time watching comedy and action movies. He will be missed by his family and all those whose lives he touched.
His family will receive friends today, January 14, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Alonzo San Miguel, Ricardo Cano, Brandon Velasquez, Ricardo Velasquez, Edward Sanchez and Jeffrey De La Garza. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
