Robynne Lynee Nega

Robynne Lynee Nega, 35, entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. She was born on a Wednesday, June 7, 1989 in Edinburg, Texas to Richard Ponce and Laurie Ann Nega Reid. She is preceded in death by her brother; Joseph Perez and paternal grandfather; Armando Ponce.

Robynne is survived by her loving parents; Richard (Erika) Ponce and Laurie Ann (Chad) Reid, siblings; Zachary Nega, Renee Danielle (Marcus) Gonzalez, John Luke Ponce, Chad Ryan Reid, Jordan Reid and Kendall Reid, nephew; Troy Bradley Gonzalez, paternal grandmother; Dora Ponce, maternal grandmother; Maria (John) Rodriguez-Brooks and maternal grandfather; Edward Nega as well as numerous cousins.

She is a 2007 graduate of John Marshall High School in San Antonio, Texas. She was an avid runner and studied Kinesiology. She currently worked as a bartender at Barrel House Restaurant and enjoyed watching sports, such as football and basketball, making her an avid Longhorns fan. She loved relaxing, hanging out with friends, listening to music, and tubing along the beach and lake. Her favorite times were those spent with her family. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.

The Ponce/Reid families will receive friends on Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 3:00 PM -8:00 PM for a memorial service with a rosary to be prayed in the Chapel of Peace, Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street, Edinburg, Texas. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Funeral Director/Manager and staff at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
