Rosa S. Torres, 86, entered eternal rest on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg. She was born on a Thursday, August 30, 1934 in Bryan, Texas to Panfilo Savedra and Teofila Palacios Savedra. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Jose Torres, Jr, daughter; Margarita Torres, son; Daniel Torres Sr. and 3 brothers; Victor Savedra, Enrique Savedra and Jose Ventura Savedra,
Left to cherish her memories are her children; Rosemary Torres Rodriguez, Angelita (Alfonso, Sr.) Torres Rodriguez, Juan (Anabel) Torres, Benny (Elia) Torres, Celia (Jose) Torres Aguilar, Elida (Allen) Torres Krause and Jose Torres III, daughter-in-law; Petra Torres, sisters-in-law; Linda, Rosalinda and Manuela Savedra and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Rosa lived in Edinburg most of her life and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. She was a hard worker and worked for over 10 years with Edinburg CISD. She love to listen to music and also enjoyed dancing. Rosa enjoyed working on search word puzzles, watching old movies and playing bingo. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and she will be dearly missed by her family and those whose lives she touched.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. A graveside services will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Val-Verde Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Donna, Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
