Rose Lee Peralez

Rose “Rosie” Lee Peralez, 70, entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. She was born on August 30, 1942 to Geronimo Martinez and Amanda Tijerina Martinez. She lived in Edinburg all of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 52 years; Hector Peralez, sons; Hector Peralez, Jr. and Edward (Melissa) Peralez, daughters; Yvette (Richard) Hillebrand, Yvonne (Andreas H. Funk), and Elida Peralez, brother; Roberto (Adalia) Martinez, sisters; Ascencion De La Garza, Aracelia Alviar, Angelica Cardenas, and Anita (Julian) Fragoso, 15 – grandchildren, 6 – great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosie worked at Haggar for over 20 years. She was a member of the Santa Gertrudis Association – Cattle Breeding and Owner of Lazy “P” Ranch where several of her cattle breeds were Grand Champion winners. She loved to spend time quilting and gardening, but her greatest joy was spending her time with her family at the ranch. She will truly be missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
The Peralez family received friends on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg, Texas. Christian Mass will be held today, Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services were entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
