Ruben Ricardo Rodriguez, Sr., entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born on September 4, 1944 in Edinburg, Texas to Enrique Rodriguez and Emilia Benitez Rodriguez.
Mr. Rodriguez is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Josefina Ramos Rodriguez, son; Ruben Ricard Rodriguez, Jr., daughter; Norma Linda Rodriguez, brother-in-law; Louis Henry.
Left to cherish his memory is his brothers; Robert R. (Maria De Los Angeles) Rodriguez, Rene R. (Mary Ellen) Rodriguez, Jose E. (Marina) Rodriguez, sister; Raquel Henry, daughter-in-law, Maria D. Rodriguez, 5 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will truly be missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
The Rodriguez Family received friends on Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian mass was held on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services were entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
