Rumaldo Munoz, 77, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born August 20, 1935 in Orange Grove, Texas to Serapio and Simona Munoz.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Adan Munoz, brother; Aciano Munoz and sister; Maria Moreno.
Rumaldo is survived by his wife of 54 years; Consuelo V. Munoz, sons; Jose Guadalupe (Belma) Munoz, Bentura (Nena) Munoz, Gustavo (Martha) Munoz, Rumaldo Munoz Jr., Jose Jesus (Esmeralda) Munoz, Jorge (Cynthia) Munoz and Roberto (Carol) Munoz, daughter; Rosalinda (DiGabriel) Camero, sister; Gerarda Munoz, 20 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Rumaldo was a social butterfly He worked for Hidalgo County Precinct No. 4 until his retirement. He attended Cielito Lindo Adult Day Care and hung out at El Patio Restaurant in Edinburg. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
The Munoz family will receive friends Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. A Christian Mass will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg, TX. Having the distinguished honor of serving as pallbearers are Bentura, Gustavo, Rumaldo, Joe, Jorge, Roberto and Jose Guadalupe Munoz. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
