Sandra Yvette Salinas, 48, entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg. She was born in San Juan, Texas on September 17, 1966 to Jose Francisco Salinas and Maria Noelia Gonzalez Salinas. She is preceded in death by her father and brother, Jean Paul Torres.
Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Noelia Salinas; husband, Carlos Enrique Diaz, Jr.; sons, Carlos Enrique (Amber) Diaz, III, Benito Adrian Diaz and Aaron Christian Diaz; grandson, Benny Adrian Diaz; brothers, Francisco Xavier (Maria) Salinas, Sr. and Frankie Joe (Alicia) Salinas; sisters, Angela Cristine (Jose Vaquier) Salinas and Elizabeth Lucero; grandmother, Criselda P. Aguirre, numerous nieces and nephews.
Sandra lived in Edinburg all of her life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She worked with the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District for 25 years where she was presently working at Edinburg High School as a Technology Specialist. She was a board member of the Edinburg Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed shopping, traveling and doing Robotics. Her smile would brighten any room she walked in and you could feel her warmth. We are sadden by her death, but her memories will live in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched.
Her family will receive friends today, Monday, March 2, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Carlos E. Diaz, Jr., Carlos E. Diaz, III, Benito A. Diaz, Aaron C. Diaz, Xavier Salinas, Sr. and Frankie Joe Salinas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
