Santos Guzman, 93, entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Edinburg with her loving daughters by her side. She was born on Thursday, September 27, 1923 is Bishop, Texas to Francisco Moreno and Maria Romero Moreno. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Jesus Guzman, sons; Joe "Don Joe", Jesus, Alfredo and Roberto Guzman, daughter; Alma Gloria Guzman, son-in-law; Jose Ozuna.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters; Maria Ofelia Ozuna, Rosita (Francisco) Cruz, Elvia (Joe) Guerra, Herlinda (Raul) Martinez, sisters; Anselma Moreno and Maria Gutierrez, 21 - grandchildren, 38 - great grandchildren, numerous great-great grandchildren.
Santos was a member of El Jesucristo el Sanador Revival, Inc. for over 40 years and a member of Agape Christian Church in Edinburg. She was a loving faithful christian woman who loved to do for others before herself. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched. The Guzman family would like to give a special "Thank You" to her caretaker/friend; Maria Gonzalez for all the care and attention she gave to their mother.
Her family will receive friends today, October 11, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg with Pastor Barbarita De Alejandro officiating. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 East Richardson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
