Teodosio "Ted" Gomez, Jr., 73, entered eternal rest on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. He was born on November 18, 1942 in Monte Morelos Mexico to Teodosio Gomez, Sr. and Juanita De Anda Gomez. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Mamie Perez, sisters; Refugia Ulloa, Maria de Jesus Olivarez and Anita Gomez, brothers; Juan Gomez, Jose Manuel Gomez and Jose Francisco Gomez.
Left to cherish his memories are his sisters; Juanita Gomez, Celia Reyes and Luisa Banda, brothers; Esequiel Gomez and Jose Guadalupe Gomez, step daughter; Alicia Maldonado, 3 - grandchildren, 8 - great grandchildren, 2 - great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Ted lived in Edinburg all of his life and enjoyed buying numbers for football games and buying lottery tickets. He also enjoyed playing pool and poker, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
His family will receive friends on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in San Carlos, Texas. Services will conclude at church after Mass. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
