Todd Randall Rierson, 53, passed away on October 21, 2017 while spending time at his favorite place, his home on the Arroyo Colorado. He was born on May 28, 1964 to Don and Cheryl Rierson in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Todd moved to Edinburg in 1990 where he began a long career in the fruit produce industry. He was a determined man who rose from entry-level work to the top in the business. His personal skills to motivate and empower people led to his success. It was always evident that he cared deeply and had compassion for others. One of the greatest pleasures of his life was his volunteer work with Challenged Sportsmen of America, helping others enjoy the great outdoors. He truly had a heart of service. Todd loved kayaking, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl Menard, brother, Rodney Rierson, grandparents, Dallas Charlie and Mary Virginia Rierson, grandfather, Perry Davie, and uncle, Randy Davie. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Don and Charlotte Rierson and Rick and Susan Menard, wife of 25 years, Chris Rierson, children, Andrew Richards, Kevin and Amanda Richards, and Madelyn Rierson, grandsons, Kadyn Richards, Dylan and Caleb Richards, grandmother Nan Davie, his constant four-legged companions, Wendy and Daisy, and countless friends and loved ones. A celebration of Todd's life will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, 3707 W. University Dr., Edinburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Challenged Sportsmen of America or Recycled Rovers. Funeral services were entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg.
