Vicente C. Casas, Jr., 67, entered eternal rest on April 24, 2010 at his residence with his family by his bedside in Edinburg. He was born October 25, 1942 in Alice, Texas to Vicente Casas, Sr., and Maria Cavazos.
Vicente worked at Norman and White Crop Dusting Aero Service for 30 years. Upon retiring he worked for over 10 years at the Citrus Mobile Park. He loved fishing, hunting and working on cars, but his greatest love was spending time with his family. He will be truly missed by his family and all those whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his father; son; Enrique “Ricky” Casas, and brother-in-law; Pedro Garcia.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years; Aurora C. Casas, mother; Maria C. Casas, sons; Vicente (Brenda Lee) Casas, III, Ernesto Casas, daughters; Mary Hernandez, Diana A. Flores, brothers; Raul (Karen) Casas, Ruben (Carmen) Casas, Robert (Alma) Casas, sisters; Lupita Casas-Garcia, Maria (Elias) Bernal, Sandra C. Vasquez, Clara C. (Raul) Cantu, Lamar (Salvador) Ochoa, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 27, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian mass will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg., Texas. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
