Victor Gallardo, Sr., 77, entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born on August 16, 1937 in Robstown, Texas to Victoriano and Gregoria Moreno Gallardo. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife; Josefina Zambrano Gallardo.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons; Victor (Deretta Gwen) Gallardo, Jr., Simon Gallardo, Ricardo (Sylvia) Gallardo and Leonel Gallardo, 6 – grandchildren; Victor (Patricia) Gallardo, III, Veronica (Tony) Rico, Etan Simon Gallardo, Zachary James Gallardo, Gabriella Gallardo and Joseph Gallardo, 12 – great grandchildren; Jared Gallardo, Jacob Gallardo, Jonah Gallardo, Jocelyn Gallardo, Destiny Gallardo, Morgan Hernandez, Aaralyn Gallardo, Alexander Herrera, Andres Herrera, Vanessa Herrera, Derek Rico and Emerie Rico, numerous nieces and nephews.
Victor worked for the City of Edinburg for over 35 years as a Superintendent for the Parks and Recreation department. He was a member of El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church in Edinburg. He will truly be missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
The Gallardo family will receive friends Sunday, May 10, 2015 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. with a service at 7:00 p.m. at El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church, 705 East University Drive in Edinburg. Christian service will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
