Victor Sabedra Sr., 77, entered into eternal rest on July 1, 2010 surrounded by his family at his residence in Edinburg. He was born on March 6, 1933 in Maxwell, Texas to Panfilo Sabedra and Teofila Palacios.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Herlinda G. Sabedra; son, Victor Savedra Jr.; daughters, Anna Maria Savedra, Eva (Jose Sr.) Palacios, Monica Sabedra, and Becky (Julio) Barrientes; brother, Jose (Manuela) Sabedra; sister, Rosa Torres; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Victor is preceded in death by his parents; son, Ricardo Savedra; and brother, Enrique Sabedra.
Victor owned and operated Sabedra Contracting for 35 years. He will be deeply missed by all his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Visitation for Victor Sabedra was held yesterday, Friday, July 02, 2010, from 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg, with a rosary held at 7:00 p.m. Christian mass will be held today, July 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Having the honor of serving as pallbearers will be Victor Mendez, Jose Palacios Jr., Angel Palacios, Amanda Palacios, Nino Flores, and Joey Garcia. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
