Victor Manuel Salinas, 55, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. He was born on April 12, 1958 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Ramon Salinas and Maria Elena Villanueva Salinas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years; Linda Soliz Salinas; sons, Daniel Domian Salinas and Christian (Michelle Pena) Salinas; grandchildren, Michael Domian Salinas, Daniel Domian Salinas, Desiree Samantha Salinas, Dexter Tomas Pena-Salinas; parents, Ramon and Maria Elena Salinas; Brothers, Juan Ramon (Carmen) Salinas, Francisco Eloy Salinas, Hector Vidal Salinas, Rene (Steve Marlin) Salinas, Jorge Valentin Salinas; sister, Lina Sara ( Steve Delgado) Salinas; Mother in law, Maria Anita Soliz; Brother-in-laws, Alfredo “Fred” Soliz and Javier (Julia) Soliz.
Victor lived in Edinburg most of his life. He was a truck driver for over 20 years, working for Royal Freight, Logic Corp. and other companies. Victor was a true Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved to Bar-B-Que and spend time with his family. He was a very talented person and succeeded in all that he did. He was a loving and caring person who will truly be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
His family will receive friends today, January 1, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn, Edinburg. A Christian Mass will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Services will conclude at Church. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
