Victoriano “Victor” Espinoza, Sr., 84, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 04, 2010 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. He was born on February 12, 1926 in San Marcos, Texas to Guillermo Espinoza, Sr., and Angelita Fuentes.
Victor is survived by his sons; Jose Angel (Sara) Espinoza, Rudy (Ester) Espinoza, David Espinoza, daughters; Teresita E. Hinojosa, Mary E. (Ricardo) Rios, Nora (Ruben) Alonzo, Odulia “Lulu” (Carlos) Castellano, Lisa (Jesse) Martinez, brothers; Ismael Espinoza, Ruben Espinoza, Alfredo Espinoza, sister; Concepcion Castro, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Odulia Espinoza, son; Victoriano Espinoza, Jr., brother; Guillermo “Willie” Espinoza, sister; Maria Elena De La Rosa.
Victor loved mechanics, gardening and taking his children fishing when they were growing up. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
The Espinoza family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, May 05, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian services will be held on Thursday, May 06, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Aaron Espinoza, Victor Segura, Alexis Espinoza, Ricky Rios, Orlando Espinoza, Gabriel Espinoza. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
