Virginia S. Coronado, 85, entered eternal rest on Friday, June 3, 2016 at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen. She was born on Sunday, September 14, 1930 at Laguna Seca Ranch in Edinburg to Justo Salas, Sr. and Silveria Loredo Salas. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Consuelo Salas, Juanita Zapata, and Raquel Diaz and brother; Ricardo Salas.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 59 years; Lucas Coronado, Sr., sons; Luca (Celia) Coronado, Jr. and Ruben (Patricia) Coronado, granddaughters; Nevaeh Sofia Coronado and Sierra McKenzie Coronado, brothers; Silverio (Angelita) Salas and Justo (Victoria) Salas, Jr., sisters; Esperanza Diaz, Emma Salas and Berta (Moises, Jr.) Tamez, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker who was blessed with her two sons who she loved, cherished and enjoyed dressing them like twins throughout their childhoods. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Her family will receive friends today, Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Christian Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
