Maria Margarita Cantu, 64, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on a Monday, September 9, 1957 in Amherst, Texas to Jesus Maria Granado, Sr and Gumencinda Ozuna. She is preceded in death by her parents and aunt; Ernestina Granado.
Maria is survived by her spouse of 41 years; Pablo Cantu, children; Pablo Enrique (Mary) Cantu, Eric (Melissa Pena) Cantu and twins; Valerie and Vanessa Cantu, grandchildren; Jonathon Castillo, Desteni Cantu, Avalyn Cantu, Sebastian Cantu, Avianna Cantu and Lennox Cantu; 2 great grandchildren Jonathon Castillo, Jr. and Jayden Castillo and 8 siblings as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She lived in Edinburg most of her life, was raised by her aunt Ernestina, whom she loved as a mother. Maria was known to be a caring and loving mother and friend, who enjoyed doing arts and crafts in her spare time. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her husband, children and their families.
No services have yet been scheduled for Maria. Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnny Garcia, Manager/Funeral Director and staff of Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
